MCLEAN, VA — Kajeet, the only wireless service provider dedicated to kids and education, is pleased to welcome Charles Askew as Northeast Regional Director to accelerate the company’s presence and growth in the education marketplace.

“I’ve been excited watching Kajeet expand into the education industry, first with its Sentinel® platform and more recently with the launch of the Kajeet SmartSpot. These innovative products are not only key to equipping children with the tools they need to be successful in the modern classroom environment, but align perfectly with my background in addressing the challenges students face in today’s educational process. I’m thrilled to become a part of Kajeet and to bring these leading-edge services to school districts across the region,” Askew said.

A veteran in the education industry, Askew will leverage his years of experience to introduce schools to the Kajeet SmartSpot and enable as many students as possible to have affordable, filtered, off-campus Internet connectivity.

“We’re delighted that Charles is now part of the Kajeet team. His experience as a leader both in and out the classroom gives him a unique perspective on the needs of students and the struggles schools face as technology continues to advance. We know that Charles will have an immediate impact on our efforts to bridge the broadband access gap,” said Andy Greig, Senior Vice President, Business Development and Sales.

Before joining Kajeet, Askew served as Northeast Regional Manager for Highpoints Learning, Inc., a publisher of a proprietary online math curriculum. Prior to his tenure at Highpoints, Askew practiced special education advocacy in the DC metropolitan area for the law firm of Murrell and Brown. He began his career with positions as a teacher, administrator and community involvement specialist in Montgomery County Public Schools. Askew holds a BS degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and completed his graduate studies at both Johns Hopkins University and Bowie State University.
