When a student succeeds in school, success for one student may look differently than success for another. Making an ‘A’ on a history test, passing Chemistry class, being accepted at a university, receiving a 1400 on the SAT or simply making it to class on time every day can all mean success for a student.

Improving student performance in school, which ultimately leads to their success, can be difficult to measure with an ever-increasing number of contributing factors. Technology is by no means the only answer. Technology and connectivity—in and outside of school—are tools enabling students to have the resources they need at their fingertips.

As teachers continue to embed new technology innovations in the classroom, an enormous gap has emerged between those with the tools to succeed and those without. We call this the Homework Gap.

Kajeet created the below infographic to demonstrate the following: Illustrate the impact home Internet access has on student success; emphasize the enormous size of the Homework Gap; and show how Kajeet is helping schools either provide Internet access to all of their low-income students or embed it within specific programs to maximize their impact.
